An easy day at last

Day  24
L

Fitful sleep tied up against the harbour wall, a strange balance of long warps that allow tidal movements of more than 4 meters.
Lovely dinner of very fresh fish and chips.

Early start to ensure timed entry to Arbroath.
Another day hugging the coastline, more castles, fishing villages, guano stained cliffs, wheeling teaming birds. Bob Dylan and Sugarman
Steering around the frightening multitude of lobster pots to Arbroath (where we snagged a lobster pot last year)
Place to buy the famed "smokies"

  1. Lester, It would be great to be there to give you one of those circumnavigation fanfare flotilla welcomes home, but we'll endeavour to be there in spirit, even if you slip in unnoticed and unheralded, but hopefully peacefully satisfied.

  2. Glad to hear no lobster pot snagging - that would have been too embarrassing. Lester your writing is brilliant and I have thoroughly enjoyed your journey. Keith was saying it is good growing weather which it is but don't worry I have had the hoe going in the vegie garden and sorted the tomatoes for you. Look forward to seeing you all back safely on terra firma. Take care and love to all.Gay

  3. as this trip nears its magnificent and successful conclusion, we are starting to get a little perturbed about what you might dream up for your next expedition, and indeed the rest of your retirement, lester. we are confident it won't involve slippers or knitting anyhow x
